Three Cheers for Wendy Davis
Abortion is a tricky thing. By saying I support a woman’s right it means I myself am for it. What I’m for is everyone not even putting themselves in that position. Should you be having sex if you’re in high school? No. I don’t care what MTV says. I don’t even think you should be playing with fire while you’re in college. What I’m for is you waiting until you are financially stable. Even more importantly wait you meet a great guy who is actually worthy of lying in your precious bed.
That being said, I am in favor of freedom of choice. You have a right to choose what you think is best for your life, not me, not a paid politician. Giving a woman the right to have an abortion, doesn’t take away our right not to have one. Just like gay marriage doesn’t affect heterosexual ones. It’s about choice. That thing that makes us one of the greatest countries in the world.
We talk about how different we are here in the US compared to countries under Sharia law, yet we have no problem opposing women’s rights.
Between the tearing down of the Voting Rights Law and the attack on the abortion laws, I almost forget that it’s 2013 and not 1960.
The south needs more woman like Wendy Davis, especially Texas.
Thanks to the powerful voices of thousands of Texans, #SB5 is dead. An incredible victory for Texas women and those who love them.

The leadership may not want to listen to TX women, but they will have to listen to me. I intend to filibuster this bill. #SB5 #txlege

To quote 2pac: and since a man can't make one, he has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one. #sb5 #standwithwendy
